The Post-Cannulation Phase

Florian Schmitzburg: Post-cannulation, we are going to place an additional sterile central line in arterial lines for pressers and continued blood pressure measurement. We're then going to state ready to go on pump and await verbal confirmation that circuit team is ready. Once we're in normal silence, normal sinus, we can get an EKG. And if we're in refractory VF, then we're going to consider other things. Magnesium, amiodarone, and maybe cardioversion.
