How to Work on a Django Site at Scale

Lanyard is one of the largest Django sites in the world. Lanyard was founded by Jeffrey Zeldman and his wife Natalie, who are now working on a project to turn it into an event-tracking site for Twitter users. The company has just been acquired by Y Combinator. It's based in Luxor, Egypt; they're currently trying to raise $10 million from angel investors.
