Storage Is an Overlooked Element of the Energy System
With electricity generation, that's more or less how it works. You get a lot of giant power plants quite far flung away from the centres of high demand. And if you need more, then the national grid operators will more power to peddle faster. Similarly with gas, yes, we don't have as much storage as a lot of european countries. But increasingly, i think we're seeing with the energy crisis, that storage would be very useful at the moment. So yes, storage is an overlooked element of the a energy system, but increasingly important.
