If the left atrium is moderately enlarged or bigger, then in the context of a patient having an elevated p s p or r b s p estimation on their co partigram, then our brains are immediately going toward suspecting left heart congestion. If you have chronic progressive disnia from pulmonary hypertension related to left heart congestion, basically cannot exist with a normal left atrial size. So after you see that large left atrium on the echo, the next thing you want to do is to peka that e to e prime ratio. And honestly, the left atracise is a universally reported feature on echo reports yet.
