The great boston molasses flood of 1919 changed engineering forever in the U.S. It's a problem i listened to a podcast uh that interviewed an author that just to reference my sources here the podcast was the great bBoston molasses flood by history this week. There were reports of kids using pales to collect molasses under the tank as it was drip out hmm and so just this big thing where people didn't really care but maybe it had something to do with you know the lower class immigrant population of the neighborhood.
