Parent Engagement - The Art of Connecting

The opposite of unal, admiral engagement is reciprocal engagement. A parent isn't just a teller of what to do, but also a listener of how our children are doing. Reciprocity strengthens family connections and improves parent child communication. And has the effect of reducing anxiety, including the all important factor parent anxiety. When done well, it really requires more of an art than a science. It's the art of connecting so that people want to be involved with us in this case, our children.
