What Excites Me About the Critics, the Monsters and the Pantasists?

i'm curious what your reasons were for bringing it up. Because this essay has so many things in it that i could imagine it could be entirely different than what i am going to bring forth. One of my favorite things, just at first glance, is the title, which echoes tolkins, the monsters and the critics. Ins essay transformed beowulf and how we read that story. What kind of stories did we use to tell? Have we forgotten why we told them? Has our perspective on the importance of those stories become twisted and mistaken in some fundamental way? Maybe these stories were important. Maybe they still are.
