The Dangers of Calling Others Pharisees

I don't permit my students to call anyone a Pharisee. They'd have to be someone who knows the law and is fiery committed to observing and living before God with their whole being. To me, they are sort of progressive and sort of conservative and very pious and politically influential and totally sold out to God. So you let Jesus do it and you don't. You know, that sort of thing.
