The Draw of Surreal Poetry

Rilca was not a surrealist, but I want layers when I read something. I want to use my own imagination inside the world of the poet and the poem. The way he advances his ideas from one thought to another is such a great provocation. He tells me I'm going to be dressed from breast to naze in gold armour. A very personal you wound. So we get caught up in the things that we do that harm people, that harm others. But I'm not punished as a result, am I? No. You know, I'm rewarded at the end. Or somehow it's almost as if the purity of the essence of me isn't damaged by that.
