Sugar Substitutes - Is There a Coherent Constituency?
The benefits that you can throw to like a weird minority group, for instance, are the same as sugar subsidies. And right up until very recently when it became about kids, there wasn't really a headstrong constituency against any of that stuff. But yeah, that's kind of how democracy eats all of these distinctions because there's power in breaking them down. There's an activation energy. It's like burning fuel.
