We all set expectations for ourselves and how we want to look. And if we're not meeting those expectations, then that's where the shame comes in. If I'm not brushing my teeth, I feel shame around that because I want to be looking after my teeth. So it's all about your actions, not mirroring your intention. The intention is always there. There's always intention, but it's a struggle to keep up with those intentions and hit the mark. That's where we fall short because of our ADHD.
