"Too too often we just worked more on on yeah like the actual voice production you know or public speaking but then didn't actually write any speeches," he says. "I think that right now the pendulum has swung very far to the kind of the demonizing of chops and and seeing the existence of chops in a musician as somehow equaling vapidity" He thinks eventually it'll all sort of settle back into something balanced where they're really just existing with the music in front of them.
