McCarthy is facing a conundrum because he has told Donald Trump that he will bring this vote to the floor, but all the Republican House members sitting in Biden districts do not want to be voting for it. The January 6th committee did a fantastic job and I don't think they sort of like changed public opinion in a huge way. In June of 2022, according to Quinnipiac, 46% of Americans believe that Trump had committed a crime over the 2020 election, 47% disagreed. So again, not a huge shift, but a meaningful shift on the margins when the margins matter a lot.
