Should We Stop Technology at a Certain Point?

In a competitive environment somebody is going to hit upon the idea of securing advantage by increasing technological mastery and power. I feel like we all need to go back and read Hobbes right that you know sure I mean we could laterally disarm tomorrow, but how many people are willing to be martyred if it comes to that? You know this competitive structure in this an arctic world is going to make it awfully hard for anybody to say okay  I want to get off like the Amish can do it because they get left alone or maybe they're willing to beMartyred if It Comes To That.
