Clustering will not hurt. Will never actually have to perform clustering in order to do forecasting. Any coroporation that has alarge or is working with a data in a larger scale, can benefit from this technique because they have a large amount of data. This feature base closteing can be very attractive, because they don't need to deal with the computational complexity of dynamic time warping.
