What Is Protected Speech?

Writers: Big tech has demonstrated its willingness to to censor self expression in a very real way. Where's the line with free speech and free expression from saying things that are unpleasant or potentially hateful, versus shouting fire in a crowded movie theatre? Writer: We're not even having it at that level were we're just sort of slowly boiling ourselves to death. And so how are we arbitrating what what is protected speech and what's not - well, we've left it to big tech to figure out for us.
