The Importance of Drug Policy Reform in the United States

Kisha: We need more research to understand the cultural and structural factors that are affecting drug use and access to treatment among black americans. Ayo: It's time for the federal government to streamline these rules so that it's a lot easier to ax as method on treatment and to stay in treatment, both of which have been shown to save lives. Kita: Policy should respond to disparities in the social and economic conditions in black communities most heavily impacted by the opiid epidemic. Jason gibbons: What's most iportance is that we cannot accept these rates of overdose as a ne normal. Thank you.
