The Battle of Yavin
In 32 BBY, the Trade Federation has blockaded Naboo in a tax protest under the instruction of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Two Jedi, Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi unsuccessfully attempt to broker a resolution. Jar Jar Binks, a gungan, helps the Jedi tunnel through the core and reach Queen Amidala. Escaping the Trade Federation's battle droid army on Naboo, the group ship is damaged, giving them stranded on Tatooine.
