When jesus died, you were rescued from what paul calls the dominion of darkness. Jesus has gone before you and done a lot of damage to the kingdom of darkness. And the work of christ has set you up to succeed in spiritual warfare. To be made alive is to begin to feel all of the joy,. all of the heartbreak, all of the longing that comes with living life robustly alive in the midst of a world at war.
