Is CAPTCHA a Good User Experience Solution?
CAPTCHA's do work in some cases. Many people find success with them where an attacker will encounter it and then sort of give up and move on to the next thing. There are unfortunately many ways to bypass them as well. And then there's also the usability argument where not everyone that uses the internet can solveCAPTCHA's. So it is a very popular and widely deployed solution. It is not perfect for every use case.
