Stretch Shortening Can Enhance Strength and Power Lifting

Milo: Why would we expect stretching to enhance strength at all in the first place? And Alyssa, let's go back to you. Because that was like the basis of your PhD is, hey, I think there's a way that stretching could specifically enhance strength and power lifters. Milo: One of the potential ways to improve stretch shortening cycle performance is to decrease stiffness or increase compliance of your muscle tendon unit. So if stretching could decrease stiffness, then you'd have a more compliant unit and that could potentially show improvement in your stretch-shortening cycle movements.
