I first heard about this in 2013. I was at a kind of picnic like thing in the UK. It's not just Terminator, you know, people have this idea before. This may even be in Colossus, the Forbin Project. And it's an idea you first encountered in a context that is fictional and silly. But there's a real argument here, and in some sense, the argument makes sense.
