Research shows that men and women are actually theres not that much of a difference when you look at things ata broad broad view. You also dance mentioning research too that show that whether we find someone attractive or not depends on a lot on how long we've known them. So this goes back to this sort of classic trait based approach, right? I think what that perspective misses is that part of the mate selection process in humans ancestral wouldn't have been about finding the objectively best mate. It would be about this ephemeral thing called compatibility.
