Are Misattributions Good or Bad?

There's some research that suggests that when people have overly optimistic or positive views of their romantic partners, for example, they might end up in happier relationships. Are misattributions always a problem? The question isn't whether accuracy is good or bad; it's what type of accuracy is good and bad and when. So the more that you can kind of tailor the question to the moment, the less likely you are to step into uncomfortable grounds.
