Should We Cut Taxes?
Liz Trust announced a big tax cut plan and also a big plan for energy subsidies. She came up with a tax plan that was so bad that the markets hated it. The last thing you should do when you're concerned about inflation is just throw a bunch of additional money into the economy for no reason in the form of tax cuts. Inflation is even higher right now in England than it is here in the US. They're much more exposed to the war in Ukraine which is causing tremendous spike in prices for natural gas and other energy sources in the UK.
