Are the Lowly Fungi in Control?

Is it possible that the lowly fungi are in some way the puppet masters who are truly in control we're talking about the trees. I always try to not go into these sort of simple either or situations to me the whole system is working together but it's an interesting thought experiment to think that one could be in control, says Suzanne Samard.
