The Mexican Revolution

His notoriety grew in 1911, when a political revolutionary asked for Villa's help. The coup was successful but the leaders that remained didn't see eye to eye. So after the president's ousting, the Mexican Revolution began. A bloody series of pitched battles dragged out for a full decade.
