In the original it kind of looks like Han shot him in cold blood and that really added to the character of Han because they're like he was this renegade. When George Lucas redid the effects he made it so that Grito the bounty hunter shot first and Han shot in self-defense "That's a case where like George I don't care what George Lucas thinks haunted like it's disrespecting the character"
