CHAPTER

Abigail Fisher's Application to the University of Texas

In 2013, Abigail Fisher crashes on the scene and she's applying in the University of Texas. The law that they passed back in the 90s required the university to admit all high school seniors who ranked in the top 10% of their high school classes. And compared to the rest of the state, big surprise. It turns out like everybody who's admitted the vast majority of people are white. They decide to modify their admissions policy so that for the rest of in-state admission allotments, the University will consider race as one of the factors in admission.
