The Beatles played six-hour sets every night at the Indra in Hamburg. By this time, they had already got good and were considered Liverpool's best band. But right from the start there was a disconnect between Pete Best and the other four. They socialised together, and he went off on his own. Astrid Kersher, Klaus Roman and Jurgen Volmer all latched onto the Lennon/McCartney quartet. Neil Aspenel started driving them to gigs as a friend of PeteBest’s. The group changed the Liverpool music scene when they played Littlerland Town Hall - no one had ever seen anything like it.
