The Fall and the Curse on Creation

The fall and the curse on creation is not simply a modest change, right? It's not a simple thing where there was a creation and God just added some death to it. And so as we look at hemagglutin and alligators and their ambush predation, grumpy bears murdering innocent hikers, these are signs of the groaning of creation. Paul likens it here to the pains of childbirth, that this suffering that we're enduring isn't permanent. But I think this notion of subjection to fertility is the way to think about this: We're all together bringing forth the kingdom of God and it's coming.
