Let's Scare Jessica to Death by John Hancock
Let's scare jessica is about a mentally fragile woman who comes to believe that the mysterious drifter she's let into her home might actually be a vampire. It's inspired by henry james's nevella, the turn of the screw and robert wise's 19 63 film, the haunting. Hancock wanted to represent a protagonist whose credibility interpreting events could be questioned by the audience. Some film scholars have compared it to sheridan la fanuse 18 71 novel, carmilla.
