The Story of Colonel Sanders
Colonel Sanders wanted to get his chicken into a prestige franchise. In two years, he signed up only five restaurants. By 1960, Sanders had over 200 outlets for his chicken in the U.S., with another dozen in Canada. He hired 17 employees to help him run the operation out of an office building he built on his property. It was time to sell the business and retire.
