Why Is This Recession So Much Worse for Women?
Why is this recession, unlike most other recessions, so much worse for women? The most obvious reason is that women are disproportionately represented in seces like hospitality, home care and education. And then the second reason is that, for all kinds of reasons, women tend to bear a disproportionate burden of caring for children. How do we address it? And how do we, in some sense, limit the long run effects of it?
