YC Summer08 was the batch that Lehman died, where Lehman Brothers literally crashed. I remember trying to get through a summer in Cambridge without an AC unit and I think we lasted about like four days or something. To this day, if you look at the batches, Summer08 is actually the least successful batch in history.
