The hostess stomped on the tail of the pursuing snake and then kicked it until it let the victim snake go. A few hours later, a person, a human woman, walked on the beach with two snarling dogs in tow. She called out to the hostess, who rose and greeted her like an old friend. The stranger said that she was the snake, the one the hostess just rescued, and she had made everything right.
