Athens Shouldn't Have to Bid, but They Should
I didn't realize just how much is involved in the process of actually securing a bid to host the Olympics. They have to do this kind of planning years in advance, like you said, to build out the infrastructure that's necessary. I think part of this is is so we should differentiate the World Cup and the Olympics. We have a lot of things in common. It feels gross to say that having grown up in a vastly superior state, but it is the closest city to us. And I like Salt Lake City. I don't care anybody says I would move there in heartbeat.
