Is GCBRs a Good Career Choice?
Future GCBRs look like some of the larger contributors to existential risk this century. Working to prevent an AI-related catastrophe seems orders of magnitude more neglected than work on GCBRs. This suggests that if your circumstances and fit are equally good for both areas, working to ensure safe and beneficial AI is likely to be the better choice between the two.
