We used to tell this story that there were these things on the planet called natural ego systems. And what i want to do is suggest a subtle but important shift to a new way of thinking, where people are part of the biosphere. We've crossed four out of nine planetary boundaries scientists are screaming at us: we're changing the earth's system. But how do we move forward? How do we take action in a way that retains hope and empowers us to live in a better world? Hope engenders agency and motivation to change," he says.
