The Effects of Regulation on Artificial Intelligence
The FTC, the EEOC, the Department of Justice, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau came out with a joint statement saying automation doesn't change our jurisdiction. So you've thought about the kinds of regulation that might be useful in this space. Is there something broader you would recommend beyond just referring to regulations that already exists in certain fields? Yeah. I would like to see transparency. Another one is recourse. And then the third thing is accountability. How would the world be different if OpenAI and Google and Microsoft were actually accountable for the output of the text synthesis machines? I'm guessing we wouldn't have so much of them. Because we want to be accountable for this random output. Right
