The Magic Number for Desirable Difficulty
The idea of desirable difficulty is that you're basically aiming to get people to study something. And what that means is when the retrieval strength is at a appropriate level. The magic number for this, and there is a kind of a magic number, is around 90%. I'm not going to go into the details, but I have some research-based backing on why that is the magic number.
