The Death of Baby D
Lucy Letby allegedly injected an air bubble into Baby D's bloodstream. The defense alleged that it was more likely that Baby D died from an undiagnosed infection and should have been placed on antibiotics. After her shift was over, Lucy exchanged text messages with a coworker in which she explained all of the recent deaths were difficult, but clearly the result of natural causes.
