The Importance of Feedback in Advice
I don't think associates should give advice from the basis of insecurity. The best advice is often someone asking you a question, oh, have you thought about this? Or what would it look like if this happened? With their healthcare example, oh, there haven't been many healthcare unicorns. Do you think that's a concern? So I actually think advice often comes in the form of questions. And one more macro thing on this is that when you join a VC fund, no matter what level you join at, you have a massive amount of imposter syndrome. You should be holding founders in a lot higher regard than you have for yourself in this hierarchy of who's doing interesting things.
