The Relevance of Understanding in a Different Form
I wanted to ask you is there a work of art that you love in part for its philosophical depth. Yes so two works come really instantly to mind for me one is the work of art of which I featured a detail on the cover of my book Epistemic and Justice and it's a detail from a sculpture by the British artist Rachel Whiteread called Stack Untitled. The idea of understanding or making sense in a distinctive philosophical form at least a form that's different from the cumulative acquisition of factual and practical knowledge and science to question.
