Biographer Somersgale's book was written in 19 98, at a different discursive moment than the one that we're living through now. What i can't do is just blithely move on from a biographer talking about someone who always wears men's clothing and then not explore the trans aspects of this history. Carstairs hated being referred to as misses. There's a luck going and we're going to unpack all of it slowly over the episode er. But this presents an immediate problem for us right now as we start telling this story to our audience.
