In tragedy, you retain a minimum of dignity to play your tragic role with this heroic dignity. So a film which would have taken place, for example, in Auschwitz as a tragedy, would have been an obscenity,. It would have given too much credit to the Nazis. The whole point being comedy which is much more nightmarish than more. And that is Christianity as you read it. I'm sorry, I cannot go in that direction. Thank you.
