How to Use Negative Feedback to Change Your Approach
If you have an open-ended task or project that you need to work on, and you say, I don't really know how long I'm supposed to spend on this, because maybe there's not a clear done point. You want the time you hope from a scheduling perspective it might actually take. Two hours would be great. That's reasonable given how many of these discovery reports I have to do. Do your best to make that time work. If you get negative feedback, then change something.
