There's actually a term for it. It's called utopia myopia, which is the craziest thing I've heard in my life. The idea that you know the only possible solution and there's been no research discussion done. If you're someone that has at least made one pros and cons list, I think you're ready to make a decision. And especially if that research is something that could contradict what you're thinking.
