The Connection Between Electricity and Magnetism
As an engineer, magnets are everywhere in our everyday lives. A really good example is if you take a mobile phone,. There are various places in a phone where we can find electromagnets. An electromagnet is just a coil of copper wire. Copper is not a magnetic material, but when you flow electrons through it, when you flow electricity through it, that coil of wire becomes magnetic. It has a magnetic field in the same way that a piece of iron, if it's magnetized, has a magnetic fields.
