Introduction
Rev Left Radio returns with an episode based on a new book called Jesus, a Life in Class Conflict. In the first 30 minutes or so we discuss historical materialism and how they apply it to deep history. After that we get into the story itself from Jesus as childhood all the way through to his crucifixion. We challenge a lot of people's presumptions about who Jesus was,. what the Jesus movement was, what it was trying to accomplish. It is just a fascinating and deeply educational conversation hopefully, but certainly book and I absolutely loved it.
